Yep that's right, this recipe is the easiest. recipe. ever, and not only that. they're also the most delicious, incredibly quick and a huge crowd pleaser! So really what is not to love?
As Easter is round the corner I have made mine with Mini Eggs but you can swap in whatever you like throughout the year, why not try...
- Smarties
- Raspberries/White Chocolate
- Milk/Dark/White Chocolate chunks
- Reeses Mini Peanut Butter Cups
- Cranberries/White Chocolate
- Milk Chocolate and Pretzels
- Macadamia Nut
Ingredients
- 100g Butter
- 100g Light Muscovado Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Golden Syrup
- 170g Self-Raising Flour
- 100g Mini Eggs (Or however many you'd like to put in!)
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180c and place baking paper on baking sheets.
- Beat the butter and sugar together in a bowl until light and creamy, then beat in the golden syrup
- Work in the flour with the Mini Eggs, then form a dough with your hands (bit of a messy job but it'll come together to form a dough)
- You can chill this dough if you like in clingfilm in the fridge for when you're ready but I always cook straight away.
- Form into balls, and place them well apart on the sheets - do not flatten them, trust the process they will flatten out!
- Bake for 12 minutes until pale golden - they will continue to harden up once out of the oven so don't over cook!
- Cool on a wire rack and enjoy!
There you have it, I told you they were easy didn't I!?
If you try this receipe let me know how you get on and what flavour you decide to go for!
