My Eco Promise

It's no secret that I'm a huge lover of the countryside. Give me rolling green fields, wildflowers, muddy wellies and fresh air, and I'm happy. I want future generations to have the same opportunity to enjoy our beautiful planet, so when I started Doodling Lucy, I knew sustainability had to be at the heart of everything I do.

Being environmentally conscious isn't something I do because it's fashionable, it's one of my core values. As my business grows, I'm always looking for ways to reduce my impact, improve my packaging and make more sustainable choices. It's a continual learning process, and while I know there's always more I can do, I carefully research every supplier I work with to ensure they share the same commitment to looking after our planet.

Here are a few of the promises I've already made:

Recyclable Greetings Cards

All of my greetings cards are printed on uncoated card, making them fully recyclable after they've been enjoyed.

Plastic-Free Parcel Tape

All parcels are sealed with kraft paper tape rather than plastic tape. It's made from renewable paper and can be recycled along with your cardboard box, no need to remove it first.

Printed in Britain

Every card, notepad and print is printed here in the UK. By keeping production close to home, I can support British businesses while helping to reduce unnecessary transport emissions.

All my embroidered products are created by a small business in London - never abroad.

Thoughtful Packaging

My tissue paper is FSC® certified, acid-free and printed using soy-based inks—a renewable alternative to petroleum-based inks that produces lower emissions during production.

Choosing Sustainable Suppliers

Whenever I introduce a new product or work with a new supplier, sustainability is always one of my biggest considerations. I look for responsibly sourced materials, recyclable products and businesses that care about the environment as much as I do.

No business is perfect, and I know there's always room to improve. As Doodling Lucy continues to grow, I'll keep looking for better, kinder and more sustainable ways to do things. Every small change adds up, and I'm committed to making those changes wherever I can.
